Kingsbridge and Saltstone Caring
Volunteer-led Support in Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Neighbouring Villages
We are a registered charity whose aim is to promote the independence, physical and mental well-being of older, isolated or vulnerable people living in Kingsbridge, Salcombe and the surrounding area.
We do so by providing services not normally available through statutory agencies.
Our services are delivered by a team of volunteers, keen to provide friendship and support to those who need it. Our volunteers have the opportunity of using their life skills and experiences, finding fulfilment in making a difference.
The benefits of this service can be an improved sense of well-being and reduced feelings of isolation, as well as the preservation of independence for as long as possible, this can delay or avoid the need to move into a retirement home or become institutionalised.
Where Kingsbridge And Saltstone Caring are unable to help, we will always seek to signpost to other organisations that can provide the support required.
Kingsbridge And Saltstone Caring work closely with health professionals to ensure clients have access to all the support that is available to them. Part of our volunteers’ remit is to feed back any concerns so that we can seek help where appropriate.
Our volunteers receive initial and ongoing training and therefore improve their own skills and knowledge over time. If you want to find out more about volunteering call us on 01548 854588.
If you know someone who could benefit from the services we offer, please download our Client Referral Form
