An all-day  charity Swiss Teams Bridge event, where winners play winners and losers play losers, was held by Kingsbridge Regal Bridge Club (on 7/10/18) at Thurlestone Village Hall.  A great day was had by all, with  lunch  provided by Sticky  Fingers. A raffle  with many prizes donated from the Kingsbridge, Thurlestone and U3A bridge clubs, Thurlestone Golf club, Tesco, Morrisons, Adams Apple, Aune Valley, Cod Father, Regal Social club, and HAC hair raised   £415.00 for Kingsbridge and Saltstone Caring.  Pictured is Treasurer Bill Luscombe presenting the cheque to Kingsbridge and Saltstone Caring Interim Manager Jane Bray at a recent bridge evening at Kingsbridge Regal (12/11/18). Jane said: “We are very pleased to be chosen to receive this very generous donation. It is truly heart-warming when we pair our clients with volunteers who provide befriending, reduce social isolation and help to keep people independent. The money will go towards our back office co-ordination which enables us to bring individuals together.” She added that more volunteers are always needed and anyone interested could call the office on 01548 854588.
