KASC has linked with Kingsbridge RFC to provide a weekly lunch for KASC clients. This very kind gesture is funded by, and entirely the initiative of, Kingsbridge RFC. Our clients have missed their usual personal visits from volunteers due to COVID-19 and contact has had to be maintained through telephone chats and shopping deliveries. The lunches are being delivered to our most isolated clients – those with no relatives nearby. Testament to the unselfish nature of clients – some declined to ensure that the most frail benefited first. And one lady in her mid 90s cheerfully announced that her AGA was on, she had food and to let others fo first! A team of wonderful KASC and Kingsbridge RFC volunteers delivered 21 meals. As one client  said: ‘The lunch was absolutely splendid. Thank you is never enough.’ Special thanks to members of Kingsbridge RFC –  Mandy Neale who cooked up a feast and Rob McKenzie, who championed the idea.

Due to planned KASC events being postponed, fundraising is very challenging. If anyone would like to donate to the charity then online at www.kascare.uk or cheques to Kingsbridge and Saltstone Caring, Quay House, Ilbert Road, Kingsbridge, TQ7 1DZ. Enquiries: 01548 854588 /info@kascare.uk
